    Hi there,

Am I the only one who found strange that a shop manager doesn’t have the right to create coupon codes. After all, it’s a business practice.
And very dangerous, because the only way is to give administrator permissions to do that.

    Thx for your answer.

    Kindly.

    Catherine

  • Hi Catherine!

The shop manager role should indeed have access to create coupon codes. Here’s the documentation.

The shop manager is able to save the coupons as “Pending Review” or “Draft” then the admin can approve the coupon.

Can you double check, perhaps by creating a test Shop Manager user then you can log into the back end to test your capabilities? And let us know what you find. Perhaps another plugin is interfering with the core feature in WooCommerce?

I can’t see any option to create coupon code.

    Did I miss something?

    Thx.

    Catherine.

    Hello again Catherine!

You’ll find the coupons under “Marketing” on the left hand side. Yes, they moved recently so it’s totally understandable that you might not have spotted them ??

Here’s our coupon documentation. Happy to help further if you have any more questions!
