• Hi

I use the Shop Manager roles with so modification to the permissions for other elements of the website. I have created 3 Shop Manager roles and one does not allow that person to view or add attributes. Any idea how to fix this or even give an idea as to where this can be fixed. WooCommerce has worked me with diligently to find a solution but so far nothing has worked. Hopefully I can find help here.

    Thanks, Lyse

Maybe I missed it in there, but I’m not clear on the specifics of what you’re asking. Which attributes?

When adding new products you can select from existing attributes or add new ones like color: blue, red, yellow…. or size: S, M, L, XL… those are attributes you can create to setup product varations.

    So sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the clarification. So revisiting your question with that in mind, if I understand correctly, your Shop managers are not able to apply attributes to product variations?

My first question would be if you are sure we’re discussing the correct plugin – the WP-Members plugin here. In your plugin screen, it would look like this:

If you do not have this WP-Members plugin installed, then this question is in the wrong forum.

The reason that I ask that is that WP-Members doesn’t do anything <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>to</span> existing roles (nor to any roles for that matter). It merely handles its own options based on user capabilities. The issue you’ve described is not a WP-Members option – it’s a WooCommerce one. WP-Members would not touch that in any way that I can see (at least not in the core WP-Members plugin by itself – there are premium extensions that do add to this screen, but if that was the case here, I would assume you’d be asking this question through that product’s support).

Assuming we’re talking about the correct plugin, then you’d need to confirm that it is in fact a conflict with WP-Members by disabling WP-Members (and only WP-Members).

So, assuming that we’re talking about the same WP-Members plugin, and assuming that you confirmed that the issue is not present with WP-Members deactivated, the only thing I can think that would be a likely is the possibility of a javascript conflict.

To determine if that’s the case, when the issue occurs, right click in your browser and select “inspect” to open your browser inspector. In the inspector, open the console to see if there are any javascript errors.

Note that the presence of a javascript error alone does not necessarily confirm or deny anything about this issue, but it does give us something to go on.

    Hi Chad,

The plugin is Members by Memberpress. So you’re right I’ve posted in the wrong support group.

    Thank you for clarifying.
