• Ok, I have a wordpress blog and i am turning into a shop.

Firstly I have wordpress direct. Is this the best wordpress for this? I started using WPD online and saw today that I can download wordpress…..
I dont want to do this incase it conflicts with my current WPD account. What is the purpose of the download?

My main problem is that I don’t know the best way to put all the products on my site. I thought of posting them all but now I don’t know how to make the page different than the post. I dont want all the buy buttons on each individual post, I just want them on the page once you click the subject. A more succinct way of putting this is – How do you post something but specify what is shown on the post and what is shown on the page.

Lastly (I promise) I have tried to put an image in my post via the ‘from URL’ function. When I enter the URL into the relevant box a tick appears on the left hand side, but when I enter the image title the red cross doesn’t change. I have tried putting in just a single letter and but it still doesn’t work.

Any info on any of this will be greatly appreciated.

    Alex

  • Do you mean: https://www.wpdirect.com/

There are several ecommerce plugins out there, and they tend to do things slightly differently. eShop for example adds an area to a post/page where you can attach product info. but they can be listed on the one page.

Can we have a link to a page with the image issue?
