Shop page displaying blank blocks

Hi – My shop page displays large blank blocks as my categories – I have activated / deactivated every possible permutation in the settings page – any ideas?
My categories and subcategories show up in my drop-down menu – but when I click on ‘Shop” I get blanks – please can someone help?
