    Hello,

Yesterday evening I was working on my french product translations. After the changes I woke up to find my shop page in dutch (main language) empty. If you however click on the category links you will see they are still there. They just don’t show up on the main shop page anymore.

I also changed a french product catergory name and it is still linking to the old URL when I click on it (massepain & bonbons).

I flushed the permalinks without succes (by just pressing “save” again). I have the latest update of woocommerce and all WPML plugins.

Could you guys point me to a solution?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi there,

Yesterday evening I was working on my french product translations. After the changes I woke up to find my shop page in dutch (main language) empty. If you however click on the category links you will see they are still there. They just don’t show up on the main shop page anymore.

I’ve had a look at your shop and see that products are appearing in both Dutch and French versions.
    https://baniwafels.be/shop/
    https://baniwafels.be/fr/boutique/

Are you still having trouble with it? Please let us know and we’re happy to dig deeper into it.

In that case, could you please provide us with a screenshot so that we can see what you are describing? This free site will let you send a screenshot by copying and pasting a link to the screenshot: https://snipboard.io/

I also changed a french product catergory name and it is still linking to the old URL when I click on it (massepain & bonbons).

Do you mean this link in your Categories page for https://baniwafels.be/fr/categorie-produit/massepain-candy/ that links to a 404 error? https://d.pr/i/q16wPP

It looks like the category widget has updated appropriately on other pages, for example when I look at a different category page like this:

    https://baniwafels.be/fr/categorie-produit/gaufres-patisseries/

I see the correct category page link in the sidebar: https://baniwafels.be/fr/categorie-produit/massepain-bonbons/

It is only on the French shop page where this issue seems to occurs: https://baniwafels.be/fr/boutique/

I’m unfortunately unable to replicate the error on a test site on my end as the “product category” widget updates as expected.

In this case, I recommend a bit of troubleshooting, first removing and re-adding the widget to the sidebar. If the issue continues, can you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.

Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

@nancythanki Thank you for your help. I did indeed manage to get it working again after troubleshooting. For some reason WPML & Woo gives me some headaches when they need to work perfectly together. I will try your tricks & tips for the widget.

Sounds like a plan. I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, please start a new thread.
