Shop page not showing products

    Several times over the last few days, the one and only product I have does not show up. When I go into the backend and refresh the product section in settings without changing anything, the shop page then loads properly. All my plugins are updated and current.
    Plugins in use – Booster for Woocommerce, Woocommerce Remove Product Sorting,Woocommerce Remove SKU.

    Try cleaning the cache.

    It seems to be working now – I upgraded to WP 5.02. I will keep an eye on it….it seems intermittent.

    This sounds to me like it could be the same thing as https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/22286 – I’d recommend keeping an eye on that issue to see what comes of it.

    It is still happening – I have two sites using the same theme (Catch Box Pro) and the products disappear from the shop page about every 12 hours or so. I am not big into developing code. Is there some sort of fix for this, or maybe a compatibility issue with my theme?

    Hi there,

    Looking at the history of that GitHub thread that was linked above, the devs seem to have concluded that this is an issue coming from a theme compatibility issue.

    To verify this, you may create a staging site where you can change your theme to something like Storefront, and see if the issue is still present when keeping this theme.

    A staging site is a clone of your live website that we could modify without risking any changes or damages to your actual site. You can create a new staging environment using a plugin like WP Staging – this will let you deploy a copy of your website with minimal work.

    I built another test site using the same theme and plugins, then changed themes and the issue disappeared. I have since stopped using Woocommerce and installed the WP Simple PayPal Shopping Cart plugin. I do not have a lot of products and this plugin works flawlessly and was easy to create products. It does exactly what I need it to do without a lot of built in bells and whistles that Woocommerce has that in order to turn off or modify, more plugins are needed……..

    Thanks for the update! I’m glad that you’ve been able to find a solution that works for you. If your site is not a full-fledged store and only involves a couple products, it makes sense that a plugin like the one you mentioned might be a better fit.
