Shop Page won’t go live on my site

    Hi there,

    I recently installed and activated the Shop Page WP.

    Unfortunately when I activate, add products, and click ‘publish’, nothing appears on my website. In the instructions, there are no details as to how to actually launch the shop page so that it goes live correctly.

    Is this an issue with the WP template I’m using? Has anyone else had this issue? I would like to add a shop tab to my site menu – does this plugin create that?

    so confused – any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Christine,

    Thanks for reaching out. You create individual products which it sounds like you already have, but then you also need to create a “shop page” where these products are then displayed. Products can be shown on any page by either using a Gutenberg block or a shortcode. Do you use the Gutenberg editor yet?

    If so, on the shop page you create, just insert a shop page block.

    If not, insert a shop page shortcode. The basic one that will just display all products is: [shop-page-wp]

    You can get more specific and display only specific categories of products or even individual products. Those shortcodes are listed in the documentation.

    I’ve added a shop page but I don’t know where to link the order now buttons to, there isn’t anything that explains how to create the transaction process for the shop. https://de-serves.org/the-shop/

    I also have a floating cart button on all of my pages that has three blinking dots that is annoying. When I click on it takes me to a your cart is empty page. Don’t know where this is generated from or how to edit, etc. I see nothing in the Gutenberg instructions under the Shop Page WP tab.

    Hello,
    You will add the link to wherever the product lives to buy. If that’s an Etsy product or to an amazon product. You will copy and paste the link into the shop page product URL field.

    I’m not seeing a floating cart button on your pages. Can you tell me where to look or send a screenshot? The shop page plugin doesn’t use a cart, so it is likely coming from something else.
