Shop shows both language pages

Hi,
I use Woocommerce and a compatible theme to sell stuff on my website. Now I just realized, that when a visitor chooses his language first and then goes to my shop, he only sees the product page that was created for his language. Which is what is supposed to happen.
However, if he doesn’t choose his language (which he won’t if he likes the default English setting), and then clicks on my shop, he will see both products – the one written for English readers and the other one for German readers. How can I avoid this?
(By the way: it’s not a theme issue, I tried already different ones.)
