    It looks like you’re using a custom theme. Did you use the proper WooCommerce hooks within the theme to output payment gateways from WC and its extensions?

    I hadn’t entered the necessary shortcode to the pages. All the pages are now displaying correctly but when I click place order, I get an error message “There was a problem paying with PayPal. Please try another method.” What could I have done wrong? Thanks for your help.

    Do you have logging enabled? Please make sure it is enabled an then run another test. Then submit a ticket here and attach the log file located at /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/logs/ on your server.

    You need to make sure your PayPal account is a business account, not a personal account. Other than that I’ll need to see the logs to get an idea of what may be going wrong.

    It is a business account. I just spoke with PayPal. They told me that all I am currently set up for is PayPal Standard and that if I want to use advanced or PayFlo, I need to pay a monthly fee. Is this correct?

    That is correct for Pro, but you don’t need that for Express Checkout, which is a nicer experience than Standard. With EC you can set it so that users can enter a credit card directly (guest checkout) and they don’t have to sign in to PayPal. That’s available with Standard, too, but it’s based on browser cookies and not as clear as it is within EC.

    I only have the PayPal Express option enabled and have quest checkout enabled. When I click the pay with paypal image, I am directed to the paypal site but there isn’t any place for the customer to fill in their CC info. Pay tells me that the only way I can accept CC on my site is with a subscription to the advanced package? I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the help you’re giving me ??

    Is it a US based account?

    Yes, it is.

    So you have guest checkout enabled in WooCommerce as well as in the plugin, and you have the landing page option set to Billing? That really should do it. Do you have logging enabled? Please enable it if it’s not, and then go through that process again.

    Then you can submit a ticket here and send me that log file so I can take a look.

    I just opened a ticket. Thanks again.

    @bobmack,

    I sent you a response through my ticket system, but I’ve noticed those emails tend to be hitting spam. Please check and see if you got a response on that ticket.
