When I checked the website https://www.edizionileggimi.it/ I can see it has a PayPal option:

It sounds like the error “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later” may be caused when PayPal settings are missed. Upon checking the system status report I was unable to find a PayPal plugin installed on your site.

The first step is to diagnose this, is to make sure your site has PayPal installed,
I can recommend this plugin for PayPal but there are many options, so you will want to take your time to explore the best one that fits your needs.
