Short code with NextGen?

Hi-

Does shortcode work with nextGEN? I have this:

<?php echo do_shortcode( “[NextGEN]” ); ?>

on my home page where the gallery should go. What I’m seeing on the main page is text:

[NextGEN]

I’ve set up the gallery, so do not know if the short code is incorrect or I’ve set up gallery incorrectly.

Any assistance would be appreciated!
