Short description based on main description

    Hi, I’m building a marketplace website using WordPress and Woocommerce. So far I can’t handle myself one thing when it comes to creating new products. Is it possible to create “short product description” basing on main product description? I would like Woocommerce to take, for example, 300 of first characters from the main product description and display it as a short produkt description. Do you know any solution for this?

    There isn’t a built-in option to automatically pull description and show it in the short description field. If you want to do this programmatically, you’ll want to get in touch with a web developer or one of the services on our Customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

    Alternatively, you can bulk update short description using the built-in product importer and exporter – copy description and paste it into short description column: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/
