Short Description Ignored by Relevanssi Results

I’m fine tuning a website in staging prior to launch and I’ve been using Relevanssi for the search results but recently it’s become apparent that it isn’t searching the “short description” field for products.

This is a bit of an issue because we have a select number of products we are re-selling (with or without our own products) and customers will want to search by the vendor part number.

However, when I put one in the search field as a test (e.g. 1003128) it tells me there are no results. If I search for words that are in product titles, then I get results.

Is there a way for me to make it index the short description field or is there another option for me to make this type of term searchable? I’ve been looking through the settings but not finding anything that helps. I’ve tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin as well.
