Hi, yes. I know about shortcake. I’ve downloaded it but had a problem getting it to work.

The way I use shortcodes in my content I don’t actually want to see the results of shortcode expansion in the editor.

But I do want a better way of

    • being able to edit an existing shortcode
    • selecting shortcode parameter options

So I’m not giving up on shortcake yet!

Just a brief update. I have made progress with the shortcake plugin. I now have a working version of a very basic shortcode which is integrated with the shortcake UI.

    That is great!
If your able to create a video showing how it works and perhaps some info on what you did to get it to work that would be helpful. (If you do create some info then it would be nice if you posted an issue on github and told the creators about it.)

    Btw
Some version of Shortcake will hopefully be added to Core down the road. There will be a Kickoff Shortcake (Shortcode UI) Discussion (just scroll down a bit)
https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/ which might be interesting for you to know about.

    Have a great day!

    Hello there!

I would be very interesting (and i think many wordpress users as well) in how you have made shortcake get to work!
I think this should be in core too, because it is a hassle to edit shortcodes and clients don’t get it.
I have set up this plugin, but somehow i am stuck on how to register this plugin and make it work in admin editor…

can’t see it’s working. Could you help me out?
