Shortcode?

Hi John

Would there be any easy way to make this into a shortcode for use on the front end?

I tried adding

add_shortcode(‘slj_quote’, ‘hello_slj’);

but to no avail. I have almost zero dev knowledge, by the way, but my logic seemed right ??
