Shortcode

Hi Dave – When you say a “shortcode”, do you mean an item at Dashboard > Appearance > Menus? Or do you mean a literal shortcode, of the form [invite_anyone_link]?

Well, I like to display Invite Friends on the menu which as you said will be done at Dashboard > Appearance > Menus. I have got this plugin that also allows you to place shortcodes in the menu, but is [invite_anyone_link] a valid shortcode to use?

Ah, I understand now. No, [invite_anyone_link] is not valid, though it wouldn’t be too hard to build. (Incidentally, it’s much easier to build than new checkboxes at Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.) I’ve opened a Github ticket for the shortcode suggestion, and hopefully I’ll be able to add it in the next version of Invite Anyone.

The shortcode will also enable users to place your plugin at any location in their site as they see fit. Great work!

I’m also looking fora shortcode, or at least a snippet of code I can add to a custom page template to display the invite form.

I simply want the invite form displayed on it’s own page.
