shortcode and excerpt problems

    Hello,

    I am unable to fetch my post excerpts properly when using the post block and post grid widgets.

    My post contents are individual shortcodes and their excerpt fields are empty (excerpt renders properly using normal elementor widgets). Toggling the preserve shortcode/html renders their content but the excerpt length is not followed and displays other shortcodes like the image gallery additionally on the succeeding pages when load more is pressed shortcodes are no longer rendered.

    I have already opened a support ticket (#4429) on your site 3 days ago but no one is answering.

    Also:
    2. Is there a way to only show posts with similar tags to the current post dynamically like on elementor’s related filter?
    3. can we add post gallery images dynamically to the gallery slider and carousel widgets via the post’s image attachments like on regular elementor widgets?

    Sorry about the delayed reply. We got a little busy on the weekend and could not look into this.

    1) We will try to replicate this and issue a fix within 1-2 working days. Pls stay tuned. Last time we checked, this was working as expected.

    2) We do not have a related posts option at present. However it is on our todo list – you can expect to hear back on the same within this week. We are currently rolling out ‘Current Query’ option for posts block and posts grid. This will be useful for theme builder templates.

    3) You can do a bulk add of images from the media attachment library for Gallery widget. We have not implemented bulk load for gallery carousel widget yet.

    As per our tests, the shortcodes in excerpts as well as content is working fine in the premium version. Pls try to increase the excerpt limit and see if that helps since the shortcode content may be just getting truncated due to a smaller limit set by you.

    Have implemented the Related posts feature for posts grid, posts block and posts carousel and expect the update to be released within 1-2 working days.
