Shortcode and Validation

    I recently installed this plugin and am considering upgrading to Pro, but want to try to do as much as i can before then both to see if it meets my needs, and if it does, to get some of the basics done before upgrading.

    Anyway, i have two questions:

    1) I’ve tried quite a few directory solutions, from forms and plugins to themes. There was always an issue, in that they were too complex for what i needed, didn’t do what i wanted etc. Anyway, in the process, i deleted a lot of material from my site, and may have deleted the page and shortcode you say not to delete. Maybe i haven’t got this far in the training yet, but can i get round this?

    2) In preparing my form, i noticed there’s no validation for country or continent, which are two key fields for my directory. Could this be a problem, with lots of ‘stray’ countries and continents?

    Don’t worry about an answer to the first question – the plugin prompted me to create the page and the shortcode.

    Looks nice!

    I’d still like to get your answer to the second question.

    Ok, now i think i’ve answered my second question too!

    If i upgrade and get the regions module, that will take care of validation. Is that right?

    Hi @bbozzo,

    Sorry that you ran into issues with this! But glad you worked through things thus far…

    As for your last question, Regions creates dropdown lists for those countries and continents (and cities/states/whatever you add). So that helps avoid entry issues that the open text field can’t fix.
