Shortcode brackets showing

I’m building a theme and one of the things I toss in is a breadcrumbs sidebar where I use a text widget and then enter the shortcode

However, it seems to be buggy as it does show the breadcrumbs (functioning too), but before and after it’s displaying the square brackets:

NOTE: Using the latest WP and the classic Editor. The block editor when using the shortcode block does work, but the classic editor…not 100%
