• Hi,

I have a button that I created using the Ultimate Shortcodes plugin (I need to wrap the button in a shortcode in order to trigger a popup, which is why I’m using the plugin and not the Elementor button).

The button shows up fine when I’m editing the page. But when I logout of the page, and look at it, the button shows up for one second and then disappears. I’ve tried multiple browsers and also had a friend look at it on his computer. Same problem.

Any idea why the button won’t show up for more than a second?

    Thanks!

Likely some other front end css or js is the culprit. Are you able to post a url for us?

Hi Phillip – I honestly don’t think the problem is with Elementor. I tried with a different page builder and ran into the same problem. So you’re likely right about the css or js.

If you’re willing to take a quick look, here’s my website: https://www.edherzog.com

Or if you could give me some quick instructions on how to diagnose a css/js problem, that would be cool too.

    Thanks!

I use the browser inspect (chrome F12) tool to check the html/css code right where the area is that you would expect the button to be (right click, inspect) and see if it’s hidden due to some css.

When I open that URL I see 2 buttons, one is green and the other is red. What should I be looking for? Is it a 3rd button that is not showing?

Interesting. There were only two buttons, but they were blue and red, not green and red. Anyway, I ended up redoing the page using a page builder that’s tied to the shortcode I was using. Not a page builder that I like, but didn’t have much of a choice.

    Thanks for your help!!!
