    shortcode created:
    [sdc_download id="129"]
    clicked link generates:
    This page doesn’t seem to exist.
    It looks like the link pointing here was faulty. Maybe try searching?

    It’s just the permalinks need reset. Visit the WP Admin Area settings, and go to Permalinks page. Don’t make any changes, just visit the page should do the trick. This is a very old bug with WordPress itself, not anything to do with the plugin, just fyi.

    definitely NOT that.
    already disabled all other plugins too.
    something definitely with this plugin.

    What is the URL of the file you are trying to add? (Note: change your actual domain name to just example.com, thanks). Basically in order to help, I need to be able to recreate the issue on default WordPress, and so far I am not able to produce any errors whatsoever.

    /wp-content/uploads/2022/09/document.pdf
    which is converted by SDC to;
    /sdc-download/147/
    which gives the error.

    however, manually changing the url to;
    /?sdc-download=147
    works as expected and gets “counted”

    permalink is set to;
    Numeric

    That is very helpful, thank you.

    I am able to repeat the issue using Numeric permalink configuration.

    I will work on a solution and push out an update asap.

    This is resolved in the next version of the plugin (1.4), should be available later today or tomorrow. Thanks again for reporting, DJ.

    I appreciate your efforts … but unfortunately version 1.4 does not function any better.
    same error.
    perhaps you pushed out the wrong script update?!

    No you need to visit Permalinks screen in Admin Area. Try these steps:

    1) Visit the Permalinks screen
    2) Don’t make any changes
    3) Click the “Save Changes” button

    That will set up the new permalink rules, and should resolve the issue with your Numeric permalink configuration.

    Try it and let me know. There may be some other bug.
