Shortcode function killing Echo Shortcode

  • Hello,
    I’m currently working on my own theme page template and am very new at it. I’ve created this page for the photo albums:

    This is an intro page, albums are listed on the right. Clicking the album’s “view galleries” link brings up a list of galleries. Clicking a gallery should populate the photos on the same page.

    I’m Using the NexGen Gallery and I used php echo to get the short code for the album list on the right. NextGen has the option of opening photo galleries in the same page or in a new page. I prefer to use the option to open galleries in the same page but I lose my album list on the right (part of template) when the gallery populates in the left side (page content).

    I’m sure I’m just missing a line of code but I can’t figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
