Shortcode gets deletes on Updating Tab
-
Hi,
I have a quick problem with having [shortcode] embedded in the content for a SubTitle/Tab.
I initially created a Tab with 3 SubTitle fields. The first Two Subtitle Fields have [shortcode] embedded and the last Subtitle Fields just has plain text. I save the Tab and everything displays as I expect on my published webpage (The “Link to Page you need help with” has Tab displaying as needed).
However, when I go back to Edit/Update the Tab, it deletes the [shortcode] that is embedded in the first two SubTitle Fields/Tabs resulting in NO Content. The plain text in the last SubTitle field/Tab is still visible. If I save the Tab. The first two Tab Fields have no Content and Last Tab Field has Content.
I can type in the [shortcode] again and then Save Tab with it working again, but this would be a pain every time I need to update my Tab.
I think this is a bug : I have used Chrome and Firefox for editing WordPress and the same issue above happens
There is a previous Forum Thread where you state you do not ” Support” shortcodes in the content tab. I am not wanting you to “support” Shortcodes, I just NEED it to NOT DELETE the shortcode tag when I want to edit/update Tabs
The [shortcode] used is irrelevant but I am using a WooCart plugin with shortcode [woocart_extension extension_id=”products_from_cat.38″]
As mentioned, this has nothing to do with the shortcode being compatible with working in your Tabs Plugin as it works on intial Tab creation/page display OR if I recreate the TAB and add [shortcode] again
The feature of being able to embed [shortcode] into tabs without it being deleted is critical and I would appreciate a solution or fix as soon as possible
Kind Regards
Matthew
