    Hello!

I need a button on the footer to activate a banner for “change your options” in consent. I do have the shortcode for it, and I’m using “ultimate shortcodes”. But I’m quite unhappy with the styling and can’t find a way to change it.
Then I remembered that you have a very nice button widget in the bundle and tried it. But when I tried it, it would not work with the shortcode. The button would show where I wanted it, with the right styling, but wouldn’t do anything when clicked.
It’s not possible to use a shortcode with the button or am I being dense and can’t find the way to do it?

    best regards!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Arutha,

I’ve had a look at your website and I can’t seem to see the results of this. Can you please link me to ap age on your website where I can inspect the results you’re getting?

Can you please confirm where you’re adding the shortcode in the SiteOrigin Button widget settings?

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex!
You couldn’t find it because I left only the button that was working, sorry! I will put it there this night, after my day job and tell you.

Till then, if it helps, I added the shortcode on the url place.

    thank you!

    Hi Arutha,

Ah. Thank you for clarifying. Unfortunately, the Destination URL button doesn’t currently support shortcodes. We’re looking at adding support in one of the upcoming SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle updates but please note that the shortcode will need to output a URL (ie. https://google.com.au/) rather than HTML (ie. Google) for the button to work as expected.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Thank you Alex!
    It’s an answer nonetheless! lol
I will check the url versus html
I’m sorry for the late answer, but I had a very intense time at my day job and was forced to pause the site!

    best regards!
