Shortcode in email title doesn’t work!

I am using the same shortcode in the email as wel as in the subject field (as per suggestion if you click on the ?)

I used this: [subscriber:firstname | default:friends],

Now in the email itself it works, but in the subject field it is not showing up.

Please fix this!
