Shortcode malfunctioning with SiteOrigin’s pagebuilder

  • So I’m setting up reservation page and switched over to SiteOrigin’s pagebuilder as it’s way easier to build up my pages with. However I noticed that the shortcode does not function when used with the pagebuilder!

    How would I fix this exactly?

    Using the following shortcode: [booking-form]

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @rafaeldejongh,

    If I recall from previous users working with SiteOrigin, I think you need to not set the Bookings Page under Bookings > Settings. Setting a Booking Page will automatically append the form to the page content, and I believe SiteOrigin blows away this content and replaces it with it’s own, causing the issue.

    As I’m only using the shortcode, I’ve already removed the “booking page” as it would also override any other paragraphs I had on that page. (https://i.imgur.com/J4fVfXh.png)

    But sadly enough even with the shortcode in use with SiteOrigin it doesn’t work.

    I know that other SiteOrigin users have reported and resolved issues before, but I’m unable to locate any of those support threads at the moment. If you search through the support threads here you may find something helpful.

    I went through all 39 pages of support threads here, and none have the term SiteOrigin in their title, making it rather hard to find any relevance to it.

    Really not sure what’s up, but if I can’t directly find a fix I might need to opt into another page builder as this plugin is more mandatory than the pagebuilder is!
