Shortcode No Executing

    I am inserting the following shortcode into my content window and instead of processing it is just rendering the same text as the short code

    [tribe_events]

    I have also tried

    [tribe_events view=”month”]

    I inserted a gallery to confirm that shortcode does work and I was successful with that but not the tribe events short code

    I have also tried using the default 2017 theme and still not executing.

    If anyone has any ideas why this is happening I would appreciate the education.
