    Hello,

I’ve just updated this plugin on a client’s staging site and the filter has now disappeared. We are using the shortcode in the Divi page builder but I’ve also tested it in Gutenberg and it is not working there either. We updated from 4.32.0 to 5.0.1. I’ve tried:

    • Disabling all other plugins (except WooCommerce)
    • Switching to Twenty Twenty Four theme
    • Resaving the filter settings from the YITH options pages
    • Checked that the shortcode is correct.
    • System Status page is showing all green checkmarks

Can you tell me what we can do to get this thing working again? We’re using WordPress 6.5.2 and WooCommerce \?8.8.2.

    Thanks!

    Hi there

This is really strange, as it seems the shortcode is replaced by our plugin (you can’t find [yith_wcan_filters] in the page), but it renders empty

There aren’t so many reasons why this might happen, so I’d suggest you to check those as first debug step

    • Could you please double check that Preset wasn’t disabled by accident? (Go in WP Dashboard -> YITH -> Ajax Product Filter -> Filter Presets and double check toggle for your Preset is active)
    • Could you please double check your Preset has active Filters?
    • Could you please double check terms are correctly selected for each of your Filters in the Preset?

I’m trying to exclude any possible problem affecting your Preset configuration during update process

    Please, let me know

    Hello Antonio,

I can confirm that the filter preset exists and is enabled, the preset has filters enabled, and the filter has terms. I also checked to see that the products and categories weren’t accidentally deleted.

    Thanks

    Hi again

recently we had reports about similar problem happening with the following configuration:

    • Hierarchical taxonomy
    • Checkbox / Text or Label filter type
    • Show hierarchy enabled
    • Terms selection not including ancestors (terms that aren’t children of any other terms)

This is a known bug that will be solved in the upcoming version
Do you fall under this circumstances?

    Hello Antonio,

I can confirm that the first three conditions apply to us, but I’m not sure about “Terms selection not including ancestors”. How do I check if that one is true?

    We are using:

    • WooCommerce Categories (Heirarchical)
    • Checkbox filter type
    • Show Hierarchy is set to “Yes”

    Thanks
