Shortcode not working inside the table

    Hi Tobias

    For some reason, the shortcode I am trying to use (plugin Tabulizer) does not work inside the table.
    You can see it here in the first row below the header: https://www.legstadaleit.com/kirkjugardar/

    I tried putting it outside the table (see the number 101 below the table) and it works fine there. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    The reason for this essentially is that these are not actually WordPress Shortcodes (which have the format [shortcode ... ]), but that they have a custom format. This means that the plugin likely uses custom code to parse this format into something usable. However, by default, they don’t seem to be doing this conversion if their custom Shortcode format is inside a table.
    Unfortunately, as the Tabulizer plugin doesn’t seem to be freely available, I can’t check its code.

    Hi Rakel,

    thanks a lot for your email! From what I can see, you can replace these special codes that you are currently using with a regular WordPress Shortcode. After that, they should work within TablePress tables as well:

    [data-source tag=FJrQ531VRsAbPBJwFbbVjsJw /]

    The advantage of rewriting the special code to a regular Shortcode is that we won’t need any additional PHP code on the site (which would also be possible as an alternative though, if this approach fails).
