Shortcode not working – markdown bug?

  • If I use [tweet id="846270908138426369"] nothing shows up in my blog post.

    I have the latest Twitter plugin installed, it successfully puts a “Tweet this” button at the end of my posts.

    If I paste the plain URL, the tweet is embedded – but I want to be able to control whether the conversation is displayed.

    I’m using the JetPack markdown editor. Could that be causing issues?

    I am not able to recreate the issue using Jetpack 4.7.1 with Markdown editing enabled.

    Make sure you are using the text editor. The Jetpack documentation mentions possible issues with Markdown in the visual editor.

    When writing with Markdown, make sure you always use the Text editor and not the Visual editor. Using the Visual editor may cause unexpected results with Markdown.
