Shortcode option MUCH needed

I am using this plugin with Headway and when I set the blog options to display an excerpt of the post, the virtual management page doesn’t work. It gives me the option to “Read More” or whatever I set this text to. In a nutshell, it treats the management page as a blog post. The only way to get it to work is to display the full text of the post in the blog index, which really sucks.

I am hoping for the ability to use a shortcode and “create a real page” to make my theme “happy”. Right now, when I disable the virtual management page, the page I create shows nothing. The awesome part is I cannot even access the plugin’s main website to figure this out.
