I added this shortcode – [gd_map map_type=’directory’ width=100% height=500 search_filter=1 cat_filter=1 post_type_filter=1]. to this page and it broke the Beaver Builder modules on that page. I ran a validator https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fmichianavegfest.org%2Farea-restaurants%2F and it showed that the shortcode is producing closing </p> tags without matching opening <p> tags. The page renders but all BB modules on the page join together and I can’t access them individually. Please help.

    Hi,

this is what I see https://paste.pics/AVAEH

What is wrong with it exactly?

Or is the problem in the back end?

Also, there is a GD shortcode that is used to open a “section” in the GD Archive Item.

It is called “GD > Archive Item Section” and it can be Closed or Open.

If you have it once to open a section and not one to close that section, you can have markup problems.

I see you customized the Archive Item, can you please check if that-s the problem?

    Let us know,

    Thanks

It’s on the back end. When I use the map shortcode, all of the modules join together and become one. For instance on that page, I am using a BB title module, shortcode module with the map shortcode in it, and the posts module. When I save it and get back into the BB back end, the shortcode module and the posts module are one big shortcode module that includes the posts module and I can’t access the posts module seperately. When you looked at the page the first time, I had customized the posts module to include these GD shortcodes:

    [gd_post_meta key=”post_title”]
    [gd_post_meta key=”address”]
    [gd_post_meta key=”phone”]
    [gd_post_meta key=”website”]

but I have just removed the shortcodes from the posts module and they still mold together.

I’m not sure what you mean by opening and closing a section. Can you please explain further?

    Hi @daniel1009,

I am guessing something on your site is adding exta formatting to a WP filter. I have tried to recreate this on my site but i can’t.

Can you try adding the map via the “WordPress Widgets” in BB instead of as a shortcode to see if that resolves it. If not let me know.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

I’m sorry – When I made the custom code in the BB posts module, I forgot an opening p tag. My fault. Thanks so much for your time.
