Shortcode question

I can see no wrong approach. Write [catposts] to your normal WordPress site content, like the screenshot tree: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/category-posts/screenshots/
Then go to the ‘View Page’ and your page should show some post headlines by our widget.
To configurate the widget you can do this in the customizer for that page you added the shortcode [catposts].
