check the description field in your wp-admin->menus->custom menu item.

It’s no different than the other menu items, which are not displaying the short code.

    Navigation Label > Faves
    Title Attribute > My Favorites
    Nothing else is filled in.

While I was there, I removed the item from menu. Saved. Added it. Saved. And now it’s displaying properly. I can’t explain it, but it is fixed. ??

Thank you for your prompt replies. I haven’t had much time to get this set up to look good yet, but it looks like a fabulous theme. I am sure you’ll be hearing more from me.

    Thanks!

you forget to check(tick) the description box to show in menu screen options top right. it will not show if not tick.

    I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you’re describing.
At this point, does it matter, since the shortcode is not displaying? (see my previous post)

yes i understand, but if in the future if you want to add short description in top nav like in theme screenshot or theme main demo, you can check in screen option to enable description field.
