Shortcode stopped working with WP 5.8.3

Je confirme depuis la dernière mise à jour de WP les cartes et marqueurs ne s’affichent plus !
c’est idem en version 4.9.19 et aussi en version : 5.4.9

Agree, working OK today, then WordPress 5.8.3 automatically applied and Map no longer finds markers.

Enabled debugging but no errors showing.

Thank you for the bug report, it is very strange that a security update is doing that, I can see my map on my blog is also down.

I will have a look tonight, and will try to update tomorrow morning.

I made a very quick fix during my lunch time, can one of you try it? (if you are familiar with file transfer via FTP or changing plugin files in WordPress back-office)

The file is in wp-content/plugins/travelers-map/includes/public/cttm-shortcode.php

Here is the commit, showing all the differences to add in the file

For people interested:
The error was coming from the WP_Query argument “tax_query” https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/classes/wp_query/#taxonomy-parameters

It seems the “field” parameter default is “term_id”, and I was using a “name”. I don’t know if they changed the “default” today, or if, for some reason, it was working well before magically.
But they made a security update today, aaand fatal error ??

So I “simply” added the “field” parameter to “name”, and it’s working well now.
