Shortcode use in Settings?

    Is it possible to use shortcodes in the various settings – particularly in the Settings page, as well as in Templates?

    The shortcode will be defined in my theme’s function.php file, using standard shortcode definition practices. One possible use might be a variable featured product code. Or other shortcodes other than those available within the plugin….a user-defined shortcode.

    Could you let us know which short codes would you use? Even if we do support them, browsers, different email and web clients may have difficulties to render them.

    These would be my own custom shortcodes, defined in the child theme’s functions.php file.
