Shortcode visible in the Search / Author and similar pages

    Hi,

    On my Author and Search pages, if “show post excerpt” is ON, I see the plugin shortcode: [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:13]

    Is there a way to execute the shortcode on these pages?

    I understand one solution would be to add a short description into EXCERPT field for each post. But that is too much work if there are a lot of posts.

    Is there an alternative solution, assuming that I would like to show Excerpts on the Search/Author pages?

    I just did a quick investigation and it seems like this could be fixed!

    Since you’re dealing with the excerpts, what should be returned?! Just the recipe summary? I don’t think the whole recipe makes sense.

    Yes, “Summary” field would be the most appropriate.

    Augustas, which theme are you using? I can’t seem to replicate the issue.

    Hi Gezim,

    Here is an example URL: https://www.zaliavalgiai.lt/tema/receptai/

    First 3 recipe posts have EXCERPT added manually, so they show correctly.
    The others – show the shortcode, as their Excerpt is empty.

    Please email the template files to me at “hello -at- ziprecipes.net”. I downloaded Envision but can’t seem to replicate what you’re seeing and I want to fix this issue correctly.

    Hi Gezim,

    I have tested with version [4.2.0.20]. Now instead of shortcode, I see “…”.
    Is it intended behaviour? I understood the “Summary” field will be displayed as an excerpt?
