I’ve been successfully using Shortcode Widget to display an RSS feed in the sidebar. The Title field was set up to display the feed’s name as formatted text and functon as a link to the RSS feed page. Version 1.4 works fine with WordPress 4.8.1 but moving to Shortcode Widget version 1.5 the title field breaks and now shows the raw html text and does not convert it to a formatted text link. I can get plain text to show up in the title field by just typing it in the field but I can’t get it to properly display HTML code formatted text.

The content field is working correctly (using RSS Retriever plugin to generate the RSS feed shortcode).

Can you try installing the version 1.4, here’s the link to it

https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/shortcode-widget.1.4.zip

and see if that is working as you expected or not.

Also can you please share what exactly were you using in the title and the content, so that I can try to replicate the issue on my dev site as well and figure out a fix for it.

I moved back to v. 1.4 by restoring the code from a backup. Later today I will try removing the plugin and reinstalling 1.4 from the zip file. 1.4 from the backup works fine with the content below.

Title field text:

Content field text:

Thanks for reporting, it was a minor fix, figured out the issue and released 1.5.1

Can you please try updating the plugin and see if the issue is still there?
