shortcode with extension works on PC without on a MAC

Is there any way I can get this to work for both platforms?
This works on a PC:
[video src="https://xxx.ca/wp-content/uploads/DSC_xxx.wmv" width="512" height="384"]
This works on a MAC (no .wmv extensions):
[video src="https://xxx.ca/wp-content/uploads/DSC_xxx" width="512" height="384"]
How can I get it to work for both?
