Shortcodes

  • Hi,

    I’ve been reading a previous thread (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/html-added-in-tailor-not-displaying-e-g-iframe/) about Tailor’s support of shortcodes. In it, you suggested the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin worked fine for you.

    On my install, it doesn’t. Clicking the ‘add shortcode’ button in TinyMCE does nothing. In addition, shortcodes I’ve added manually in the WordPress Editor are not being parsed. Is the handling of shortcodes in Tailor something that’s being looked into? I really like Tailor and it would be a shame for me to have to not use it because of this.

    Hi @mattfm,

    Just recorded a quick screencast to demo Shortcode Ultimate use with Tailor.

    Some important points to make clear:
    * Insert shortcode button won’t work from the content editor in Tailor. You may either insert the shortcode via WP editor as demonstrated in the video or copy and paste the shortcode in the Tailor content element.
    * In Tailor app, the output of short code may not work well, but that will be perfect on the front end.
