@abiraghi you should now see an update available for this plugin. This will bring some edition in the admin page of the plugin, and its description in the plugins page. Multiple places to get the useful info on how to use the shortcode.

The plugin works fine.
On the page you have reversed the titles in the posts and banners sections (no big deal, but you might want to correct that).
It would be useful to have a few more attributes especially for posts, e.g. to hide the repetition of the avatar, date of publication, etc.

PS numberOfPosts doesn’t seem working. I tried with 8 and 4 but the frontend always displays 5 posts.

@abiraghi thanks for the further tests and feedback. I’ll definitely double check that and fix the issues.

Probably a cache issue for the number of posts. I’ll fix that too.

Some new issue, I opened my blog and the plugin is not working

I entered the plugin admin, found a “connection failed” message. So I created another Bsky app password, but still cannot authenticate, same message.

“Connessione a BlueSky non riuscita. Verifica le tua credenziali. Potresti anche aver raggiunto il tuo limite di richieste su BlueSky.”

My credentials are correct. Handle biraghi.org

Sorry again for the issue.

I’m having a hard time understanding why some users get this message because I can’t reproduce it with my 2 main accounts. The only way to reproduce it is when I use my username instead of my email address. But both app pass and password give me clearance.

I’m exploring the documentation of Bluesky to better understand if some accounts have a limitation or not and I can’t find anything.

I’ll keep digging until I find something. In the meantime, wait and see ?? I’ll keep you posted.

@abiraghi i’ve read the documentation of Bluesky for the authentication request. The rate limit is pretty low but high enough for this kind of system.

The issue comes from my code: where the cache works for everything, I didn’t think of activating it also on the authentication. ??

I’ll come with an update soon to see if it fixes the issue.

Awome plugin. Bsky is the place to go within medical research at this point sot it is really invaluable for me. Im using the embedded last posts on my website, but would it be possible to get only my posts, no my replies to other posts. I want my blogreaders to see my posts. My replies can be a bit more random and really don’t make sense out of context.

@robinlunden I’ve added an option to display only the posts and not the replies. Small limitation from Bluesky: it does the distinction between a reply and a post, but I can’t request 5 posts only. I need to request XX items, filter them and hope I got 5 (or the number of items requested). It’s not optimal but I can’t do better if Bluesky doesn’t update its system. Unless you got more than 95 replies in the last 100 posts, you should be fine though ??

The “numberOfPosts” option still not working. I have this in my widget

but I only see 5 posts.

Yup, I still need to investigate this one. At first glance I couldn’t see a reason, so I focused on fixing the priority login issue.
