• Hi Folks,
Just wanted to let you know…. I updated to 2.1.2. At that point, my shortcodes in Page Builder quit working.

I have 2 plugins that use shortcodes. To test, I simply used shortcodes from each on regular (non-Page-Builder) pages, and they worked great.

Back to the offending page, I even tried sticking quotes (both types) on the shortcodes just for laughs, no help.

I un-installed 2.1.2, and installed 2.0.7. Tada, shortcodes work perfectly again! So “tag, you’re it!” ??

Hope that helps. I’ll just make sure that I go really, really slow when considering updating Page Builder from now on.

    Cheers, Dave

    Hi Dave

I just had a look and shortcodes still appear to be working in the Visual Editor widget. I only tested with the default WordPress shortcodes though.

How are you inserting widgets in your page and which plugin’s shortcodes are you using?

Hopefully we’ll be able to get to the bottom of this.

    Best Regards,
    Greg

    Hi Greg,
Thanks for responding! I just entered the shortcodes manually like I always do. They had worked fine for quite some time.

In the site I am working on, I just used your handy Page Builder text widget to stick them on the home page. I haven’t used the Visual Editor at all yet. I generally I want to add my own classes and get the HTML very exact for styling. WYSIWYG doesn’t get me what I want. ??

Specifically, I used shortcodes from Ninja Forms and Optin Cat. Both form-related.

    Thanks! Dave

To anyone interested… I’ve checked back a few times to see if this is fixed. I’ve also seen a few other posts here about shortcodes not working. Nothing so far.

If you are having a similar problem, you can try what I did: uninstall and remove the plugin, then go back to PageBuilder 2.0.7. To find this version, check out the developer tab on the main plugin page here.
