Problem seems to be pretty straightforward.

I’m trying to upload a site index using the custom menu widget onto a page on our company’s website. To do so, I’ve had to use plugins which allow you to put widgets onto pages. Every time I do that, I have to use a shortcode which then breaks the page.

To get an idea of what I’m getting at, I’ve included a screenshot of what happens when I insert a shortcode into the page.

Any ideas as to why it might do that? Is it the theme? Is it the plugins? I’m guessing it’s the theme we use, but not entirely sure.

Any help in this regard or any suggestions on an easier way to insert a widget into a page?

To find out any plugin/theme specific issue, have you tried:

    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    what theme are you using?
what plugin(s) are you using for the shortcode?
what shortcode exactly are you using?

Our company uses the Infoway Pro Responsive Theme….which I think is a premium theme?

I have deactivated all plug-ins before for other issues, but this one still comes up. I thought I had it fixed with the Formidable plugin in where I was running into this same exact problem. I deactivated the Beaver Builder plugin and the forms worked. I had hoped it’d be the same for this problem.

I tried multiple plugins, which I have since deactivated only because it was causing the page to look like the screenshot. I think the different plugins I used were:

    amr shortcode any widget

    Widgets on Pages

and I feel like I tried another but I must have deleted it from my plugins altogether.

The shortcode at least for widgets on pages was : [widgets_on_pages]

The amr shortcode one I think was like: [do_widget id=widgetid11]

I’ve tried before contacting them on a different issue and all I got was unrelated junk mail from them…so I guess I could try again.
