Shortcodes in product short description not working on shop page

Hey everyone,

I have a little problem trying to get shortcodes to work in the product short description on my deal website. They work on the product page, but not on the shop page. E.g. for this product you can see that the shortcode from the T(-) Countdown plugin works on the product page, but not on the shope main page.

I read that shortcodes can be enabled with adding
add_filter(‘the_excerpt’, ‘do_shortcode’);
to the functions.php. However, this somehow hides the complete product short description for my website

The theme I use is mindig.
