Shortcodes not working on twentyten theme

  • The website I am working on is: https://www.sculpturebytps.com/

    The the issue is that the website got hacked and after cleaning up the viruses I can’t get any shortcodes to work.

    Example for two plugins (NextGEN Gallery and WP-SimpleViewer)
    As you can see on these pages:
    Page 1
    Page 2

    I have tried reinstalling the plugins and updating and nothing seems to work, so I guess it is a problem regarding the WordPress theme not loading the shortcodes. I have tried to switch to another themes like twentyeleven and the rest and it works fine, it’s just for this theme.

    Any ideas on how to fix and where to look for the issue with the twentyten theme?

  • Try installing a freshly downloaded copy of the theme TwentyTen and try again.

    BTW, did you edit the original theme or are you using a child theme for your customizations?

    Thank you for your reply.

    That is the problem, I didn’t edit the theme in the first place, someone else did it before me and he didn’t use a child theme or else I would fix this problem by getting a fresh copy of the theme like you said, but since all modifications are made on the theme itself I must find a way to resolve it without ruining the previous work from the developer.
