On some pages and on all pages after migrating a website to a new server Plugin Organizer is causing problems on embedded shortcodes in page content (footer template shortcodes are fine). It shows the shortcode text rather than the content of the shortcodes. Upon updating an individual page, it displays the content correctly. I tried to bulk edit and update all pages from page menu but to no avail – I have to click through each page individually for it to work which is not maintainable.

I went through and found that disabling plugin organizer fixes the problem, is there any way forward to keep using this plugin? It’s extremely helpful to us. We are regularly migrating content across our dev, staging and prod servers.

    Using Avada theme version 4.0.2.

It sounds like you have disabled a plugin or plugins globally and enabled them on individual pages. Go to the plugin organizer settings page and regenerate the permalinks after moving the site content. Plugin organizer works off of the URL. If you set it up on your test site and move it to a site with a different URL none of the URLs will match the new site.

Thank you! That makes sense, cheers for clarifying.

Is there any way to have these URLs updated/recreated on migration? On migration between sites we run a search and replace on all the database tables so I’m confused as to why the plugin is separate?

The urls are hashed to speed up the query when searching for a match in the database. If they aren’t hashed I would have to use a text field which significantly slows down the query speed. With a hash I can store it in a varchar field and index it. I’m not sure I could add an automatic process since the plugin wouldn’t have any way of knowing you moved to a new site.
