Shortcut for preview?

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut to open page preview in desktop mode? WordPress 5.5 requires two clicks to open it — which is one too many for my exhausted little clicker finger.

    It would nice if a desktop preview button was always exposed and the tablet and mobile options were in a drop-down, or the default behavior of the button was whatever you last chose, or something like that…

    exactly the same “issue”. I am really wondering there is no shortcut for the preview like the “STRG+S” for saving – God bless you for finally adding that ?? One shortcut and WP changes the tab into the actualized preview vie – that would be a charm and save in summary thousands of work hours around the world.

    Yes, please Development Team of WordPress, add that keyboard shortcut.

    Many index fingers around the world will appreciate it.

    I see they want to offer what device width to preview but I should be able to set the default and preview with one click.

    I hope someone makes a plugin for that so I’m following this thread.

    Seems kinda crazy there’s no basic keyboard shortcut for such a core editing function?!

    Hello there – I am missing this badly as well. That saves massive working hours around the world regards of the huge amount of people using word press.

    Yes, please for the love of god add this. It’s so annoying to do twice the clicks for no good reason.

    My FINGER is so worn out from these constant clicks guys… why is no one listening?
