When this expensive plugin expires — the plugin authors try to force you maintain your license agreement (at the full yearly price), by placing a large notice across your dashboard informing you that your license is expired.

I contacted the plugin author about this, and they suggested I attempt to edit the code directly rather than updating their plugin. I shouldn’t have to hack into a plugin to use software I paid for. And neither should you.

In terms of the overall merit of the plugin. It’s OK. Some of designs are weak, but some are very good. Mobile responsiveness is excellent. It’s also excellent that you create a table post-type that can be reused anywhere on the site. This makes updating prices easier. Woocommerce integration works just fine.

I would suggest the plugin authors evaluate which of their designs are actually being used, delete the 50-60% that people don’t use, and make some new designs.

For a company to insist on charging you a very expensive yearly license (similar price as elementor for example) and then not really improve the plugin is kinda of crappy. The plugin itself does work fine, although if an error in your pricing table it will crash your website. I also informed the authors about this, and they similarly didn’t seem to care.

    Hi Demonjax,

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate it.

We are currently in the development of a large update for Easy Pricing Tables that will add new designs and also allow much greater design input into each table design by the user using the block editor.

I am happy to read you found the other aspects of Easy Pricing Tables useful.

Just to clarify some things you mentioned. Easy Pricing Table does not expire unless you purchase a premium license that runs for one year.

We would like to take this opportunity to assure you that Easy Pricing Tables conforms to all www.ads-software.com’s GPL license and plugin best practices terms and requirements for hosting plugins on their repository, as do all our other plugins and have done so for many years now.

Sorry to hear you had an error while using the plugin. From what you told us previously back in February, you had added a “Missing product” in WooCommerce that Easy Pricing Table was attempting to load and that in your words “It causes the crash on the page with the shortcode.” – (not the website).

We do care about these kinds of issues and we helped you by sending 5 emails to assist you in finding a solution and highlighting that most likely the issue is caused by creating a table containing a product that does not exist correctly, which you then adjusted.

Thanks again for using Easy Pricing Tables and giving us a try. We hope in the future to meet your requirements and you can give us another try.

All the best and have a great day.

No, they really are not. Not at all.

The plugins hosted on www.ads-software.com must adhere to the plugin guidelines. That’s a requirement for GPL code to be hosted here on this site. The premium version is not from this site.

When this expensive plugin expires — the plugin authors try to force you maintain your license agreement (at the full yearly price), by placing a large notice across your dashboard informing you that your license is expired.

What you are describing is not a plugin violation here. The premium version of the plugin has nothing to do with that guideline. If the version hosted here took over your dashboard then maybe. That’s not what you wrote.

When a developer upsells here they invite reviews about that experience and this is a valid review. You just are trying to apply the plugin guidelines incorrectly to the wrong premium version.
