Should be native in WordPress

  • yes, this functionality should really be native inside wordpress core. I don’t know why they let users struggle with this littles problems.

    Ok, meanwhile… use this plugin for adding a more rich format to your description including images. I used this for Woocommerce description in each category and it worked charmy. Thank you!

    I agree.

    I’m surpised there is no wysiwyg as default for category description.

    I had to write this plugin up quickly following one of the big updates of wordpress when all the old plugins stopped working.

    I would imagine that most people who write category descriptions also want to add rich media.
