Should Have Done This Long Ago!

It is so difficult to get everything I want out of WP. I have a style I like, generally, but like all styles, it doesn’t support everything I want to do and I am not interested in becoming a coder. It is hard enough to write! (can you tell :- )

Solution: use MS Word, import using docxpresso and life is more beautiful. Not perfect, but more beautiful.

It took a bit to get it working as the style I was using caused havoc with the incoming ODT file. Eduardo was responsive and amazing at diagnosing and providing a fix to the problem. It really wasn’t docxpresso’s fault, but they fixed it and thus hardened the tool.

It would be great if what I wrote in Word showed up exactly as seen there (e.g., ability to use all of Word’s color variations in text boxes). But, that would be allowing the Word style to override the WP style and that isn’t going to happen.

For this to be a perfect solution, Word would have to be perfect, the style would have to be perfect, and I would have to be perfect. Short of that, this is the best solution I’ve seen thus far.
